Itinerary
Duration: 4-6 Hours ( ~13km)
At 9:00 AM, your adventure begins as our friendly local guide picks you up from your hotel in central Sapa or meets you at the iconic Sapa Church. After a warm welcome and a short briefing about the day’s itinerary, you’ll set off from Sapa town center, following scenic local trails that wind through vibrant vegetable gardens and a serene bamboo forest. After approximately three kilometers of walking, you’ll reach the Muong Hoa River, flowing gently through the heart of the valley and framed by sweeping mountain views.
Continuing deeper into the countryside, the trail leads you to Y Linh Ho Village, a peaceful place known for its fresh mountain air and unspoiled natural beauty. Here, you’ll trek through lush green forests and expansive terraced rice fields, where every bend in the path reveals a new and captivating perspective of the surrounding landscape. Walking along narrow paths between rice terraces, you’ll arrive at Lao Chai Village, home to the Black H’Mong people. This village offers an intimate glimpse into traditional mountain life, where you can visit local houses, interact with villagers, and observe traditional H’Mong textile practices such as cloth flattening and indigo dyeing—skills passed down through generations.
Around 12:30 PM, enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a charming, family-run restaurant operated by Black H’Mong locals, set beside a gentle stream. As you savor authentic local dishes, the soothing sounds of nature and spectacular scenery provide the perfect moment to relax and recharge. After lunch, the trek continues along a picturesque path through rice fields and alongside the Muong Hoa Stream toward Ta Van Village. Ta Van captivates visitors with its rolling terraces and the unique blend of cultures of the Zay, H’Mong, and Red Dao communities. Along this stretch, you’ll be treated to magnificent views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range and have the opportunity to engage with friendly local residents in their peaceful rural surroundings.
Your visit to Ta Van concludes between 2:00 and 3:00 PM, after which you’ll be transferred back to your hotel or central Sapa, with the tour ending around 3:00 PM. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty and rich cultural heritage of Sapa’s terraced fields, and let our experienced local guides lead you on an unforgettable journey through dramatic landscapes, authentic village life, and timeless traditions.
